What is PBIS?

Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS) is a framework to support optimal student achievement (academic, behavior, attendance, and social-emotional wellness) by utilizing a proactive Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) for creating and maintaining a safe and effective learning environment. At Leuzinger High School, PBIS is implemented through Olymian SPIRIT.

What is Olympian S.P.I.R.I.T. ?

S –  Success

We expect our Leuzinger students to engage in active, purposeful learning and be driven to learn and excel.

We expect our Leuzinger students to value their self-worth, intelligence, and  talents  while respecting our school campus and community.

We expect our Leuzinger students to be sincere, trustworthy, and truthful along with displaying academic honor.

We expect our Leuzinger students to be considerate of others, courteous to all, treat others how they would want to be treated, and accept others regardless of their individual qualities.

I –  Inspiration

We expect our Leuzinger students to model the behavior they want others to manifest along with helping others believe in themselves.

We expect our Leuzinger students to maintain a firm belief in themselves and others and reflect that through their actions.
