This is the second year of a four year program. This class is for students who are motivated to go to college.
This year, we will spend a lot of time preparing for the CAHSEE Exam. The CAHSEE will take place on March 8 and March 9 this year.
We will spend a lot of time writing CAHSEE essays, which are different from the essays you will write in your English class. We will do a lot of "unpacking the prompt" which is something we covered briefly last year.
Our weekly schedule, from now until Christmas Break:
Monday: CAHSEE practice
Tues: Tutorial
Wed: Curriculum (reading and writing strategies)
Thurs: Tutorial
Fri: Binder Check
Important dates:
Tshirt($10) and Sweatshirt ($30) Money due Sept 30th
Knott's Berry Farm Money due Oct 8th - $30
(Knott's Trip will be Nov 5th from 6 pm until 2 am)
You must be passing all of your classes to attend the field trip!!!!
