Spanish 3 Assignments

Read the attached instructions for the peer survey & infograph project.

We will have class time to work on the project interviews but you will need to create your infograph and prepare for your Spanish only presentation that will be delivered on Thursday or Friday.

 

Please review your notes based on the attached study guide. If there is a topic you still don't understand, have your questions ready for our in class review sessions or stop by before school or at lunch for tutoring.

Practice with reflexive verbs. Answer the questions on the attached document according to the video, Mi Rutina Diaria.

1. Read notes on direct object pronouns online or via the attached PowerPoint. Take Cornell notes.

 

2. Complete the attached practice activities.

Practice using unit 2 vocabulary and reflexive verbs to discuss your daily routine and personal relationships. Be ready to discuss the attached questions in class on Monday.

Review your Cornell notes from today's lesson on reflexive verbs.

2. In the summary section, describe what type of verbs are reflexive verbs. In other words, what do they have in common?

 

3, Name all the reflexive pronouns according to the 6 subject pronoun groups.

 

Make a study guide or flash cards for the 26 reflexive verbs we discussed in class.

Watch the video about Puerto Rico and answer the questions on the attached document.

Listen to the Idahosa Ness rap in 8 different languages. After listening, prepare to respond to the attached questions in class on Monday. This is a listening and conversational practice assignment, you may write your responses but you will be assessed on your effort in speaking and carrying on a conversation in Spanish.

Finish your character sketch.

Write three paragraphs to describe your character based on the brainstorm you completed in class. Use unit vocabulary (page 60).

 

Research how to develop plot.  Consider what you learned and begin writing the storyline for your character.

Listen to Diana talk about her Dia de Los Muertos traditions and answer the questions on the attached handout.

Homework: Finish your Spanish Legend.

• Include at least 7 sentences in either the preterit, continuous past or the imperfect tense. See sample legend using various verb tenses including the imperfect and the preterit.
• Illustrate your legend.
• Be prepared to present your legend to your classmates.
• Extra Credit- Create a short video or audio version of your Spanish legend.(25 points extra credit)

Prepare for multiple choice quiz on the continuous past and the imperfect tense on Monday.

 

Study your Cornell notes or read online notes on the uses of each tense and how to form them in Spanish.

 

Be able to identify which tense is required to translate English sentences to Spanish.

2. In the summary section, compare the two verb tenses. Refer to textbook page 34 or follow the links I included here.

 

We completed textbook activities 43,44 & 45 on pages 35-36 in class. If you were absent, be sure to complete that in class before or after school.

Read the notes on the continuous past in Spanish. Write any questions you may have prior to our guided notes session & practice in class.

Read the questions in the attached document and formulate responses in Spanish for our conversation group activity. You can write responses, but this is primarily a speaking activity.
