Spanish 2 Assignments

Read the attached instructions for the peer survey & infograph project.

We will have class time to work on the project interviews but you will need to create your infograph and prepare for your Spanish only presentation that will be delivered on Thursday or Friday.

 

Please review & organize your notes according to the attached study guide.

Be prepared to ask questions during class this week on any of the skills you will be assessed on during the final.

 

I will allow you to use your own, hand-written notes on the exam. I can recognize your handwriting by now, so please make sure you do not borrow or lend any notes.

 ¿Hablas Scratch?

 Showcase the phrases, questions and Spanish food vocabulary you learned in class while taking your tech skills to the next level.

Create a Spanish phrase book or story using scratch for 25 extra credit points. Include a minimum of 10 phrases, questions or vocabulary.

Check out sample Spanish projects to get ideas before you start.

1. Be prepared to discuss your food preferences according to the questions on the attached file.

 

2. Study your food vocabulary list.

 

3. Finish your restaurant menu if you didn't finish it in class this week. Be neat. Check your spelling. Use ink, colored pencils or type your menu.

Select 40 food or cooking related vocabulary terms you would like to learn.

Refer to the index in your textbook, a dictionary app or any web site dedicated to  Spanish vocabulary.

 

Record your terms, their English translations and an example of the word in context in a graphic organizer. You may use the one I'm attaching here or record them in Cornell notes format.

 

Study your terms daily as you will each create your own quiz (subject to approval) to take in two weeks.

Review grammar notes and video on expressing possession and obligation with the verb tener.

 

-Write 10 things you have to do using the verb tener (que).

-Write all 6 conjugations of tener and the English translation of each conjugation.

-Write 5 expressions that require the verb tener (to have) in Spanish but the verb to be in English. For example Tengo hambre which literaly translates to 'I have hunger'.

 

 

 

Complete this activity only if you were absent from class on Monday 10/2/15.

 

You may make your own map or print one from the internet.

Complete the listening comprehension questions attached after listening to the video on Honduras.

Follow the directions on the attached document to complete your "Soy una Estrella" digital presentation.

Complete article and answer questions only if you were absent on Tuesday 10/27/15.

Prepare for Monday's (11/2/15) quiz on your Passwords Perfectos.

Translate and categorize your phrases.

 

Read notes on possessive pronouns.

Take Cornell notes on possessive pronouns.

Take online quiz.

 

Bring your results or your written answers on Monday.

Write any questions you may have after completing the reading & the quiz.

 

Practice with Possessive Adjectives and the Passwords Perfectos we completed in class today for anyone who was absent from class 10/22/15 or 10/23/15.

Make flashcards or a study guide for at least 35 useful expressions from Thursday or Friday's walkabout activity.

 

Flashcards are due Thursday(7) or Friday (6 & 8).

 

Quiz yourself at least twice a day or have a friend or family member quiz you for Monday's quiz. Quiz will be on 10/26/15.
