Greetings!  It is both an honor and privilege being here at "Leu-House".  
 
It is an understatement to say I will miss being in the classroom with my students. However, rest assured that everyone here at Leuzinger and Centinela Valley Union High School District are making the BEST and SAFEST decisions for our students and staff. If all goes well and as planned, we should all be back in our classrooms together in no time!  In the meanwhile, we will proceed with our adopted and updated Distance Learning Model, which utilizes technology to present and teach all curriculum.  In addition, all teachers, myself included, will provide several opportunities for students to learn all material.
 
During the course of the year, we will learn how math is applied in the real world:
  • AAFA students will learn how to make, use, save and invest all forms of currency by applying all learned concepts from this course in real-world scenarios.
 
  • IM I students will learn how to apply learned mathematical concepts by applying them in several real-world situations.

At the end of this lesson, you: *Will use Theorem 6-3 to find the lengths of bisected segments. *Will use Theorem 6-4 & a Linear system to find the value of unknowns.

Unit7 Section 6-2 Part 1 Properties of Parallelograms

This is Part 1 of a three part lecture on Section 6-2, Properties of Parallelograms.  At the end of the lesson, you will:
  • Know what Theorems 6-1 and 6-2 are.
  • Know how to apply Theorems 6-1 and 6-1.
  • Know how to use Theorems 6-1 and 6-2 in order to find:
    • The unknown in a linear equation.
    • The measure of a given side.
    • The measure of a given angle.
  • Know how to use the the Rule of Consecutive angles to find the measure of the missing angle.
