Leuzinger and its academies thrive in new classrooms

every little thing plays a big role in when you have technology inside your classroom and teacher turn off to use it and are using it and learning to use it it shows our students that everything is college going and I mean honestly this campus beautiful and it looks like a college having the new building from Phase 1 it definitely set a different tone here on our campus students seem to be have more pride in their school they seem to be more positive around campus believe it or not I feel like there's a correlation between discipline incidents that we had on campus and just getting the new building I feel like the new building gave our students something to be proud of for the lot and I like it all the high school multimedia careers Academy as a small school within our school and student have an opportunity to get a foundation in digital arts media arts and then they choose a pathway digital photography digital video production or digital media what's the build starts Kmart development students are also supported by teachers and have opportunities to go on field trips hankerson's to join as many contest as possible helping game that hands-on experience that I personally believe is the best way to learn I learn how to edit a good pictures record video things Photoshop is the skills that are Taunton classes and that soon as the most likely use in the future as co-president is only my job to plan events for them CA but also train salted in juniors so that after I graduate they can keep the MCA live and going to Building made a major change in just our school community King proud of something that was actually knew you know I really think that the new buildings Newgrounds kids want things that are new I think that sends a really powerful message to our kids that we are about learning we are about sit achievements environmental at Leuzinger High School what is a really exciting nature-based sustainability based green Focus Academy will try to teach social Generations about the environment and how we can help them and the green career said don't follow from it  I will tell them about all the great opportunities in the play house and how much that you can have change me and how much how much would a pattern is a hot since I joined ECA and the things I just came from it also I would mention how we can take the car to the classroom experience out of the classroom is not on just sitting in the car so we learn out of the classroom a small school within a school where students are introduced to sustainable Concepts how logical links to the environment and then introduction sustainability and then they get to apply this knowledge in green Urban Design and environmental Technologies have them come every Monday in the garlands we have them working in the garden they had actually learned a lot and it's better because it's more Hands-On Bible Chris Academy wonderful opportunity to take these classes but then also to apply them outside in nature on hikes in our school garden careers Academy at losing High School is a new addition to our campus it's really exciting started last year we now have a 9th and 10th grade cohort cats are learning about culinary arts and our state-of-the-art facilities so in 9th grade they're introduced to help and hospitality and then in fourth grade because actually go STAR labs and start cooking and learning about health and nutrition and actually preparing meals and then they will build an 11th grade and 12th grade to know more about the hospital and straight I get opportunities to apply what they've learned outside class this facility is built more like a restaurant kitchen where those cooking station I'm hoping that we can start running the teacher Cafe and that the kids will cook for that and that I'm also do some cave not cater to so they won't get paid but maybe some Banquets are things at the school would offer will be would be able to cook for it and then show off I think it's something that we're really proud of because it didn't involve just us as administrators but it involved our entire district and our entire community I think the fact that our community actually voted in the bonds that allowed us to get Phase 1 and now Phase 2 it it really speaks volumes to just to trust that they having us at the school site and I think the finished product that we have in these brand new buildings from Phase 1 and Phase 2 it really really Lex what something that our community want it for their kids and also I think something that we needed in this community for our students
