Amelia Arambula
Art education has expanded into a vast range of creative media.
Students are challenged to expand their creativity and art skills
utilizing the standard software in the arts, media, and entertainment
sector. I teach Drawing & Digital Art, Introduction to Multimedia
Art, Media Arts and Game Art Development. Becoming part of the MCA
allowed me to truly find my passion for digital arts. I am currently
enrolled in the MEDIA DESIGN MASTER OF FINE ARTS program. e-mail: arambulaa@centinela.k12.ca.us
This is my 6th year teaching at Leuzinger High School and I am excited and proud to be a continuing member of the MCA learning community. I did my undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley and my graduate studies at LMU. I teach the English 10th MCA classes and as part of the MCA 10th grade leadership team I collaborate with fellow MCA teachers to ensure MCA academic student success and interdisciplinary curriculum. e-mail: annj@centinela.k12.ca.us
I am very enthusiastic to be a part of MCA in my first year at Leuzinger. In my film production class for Juniors and Seniors, students learn filming techniques and Final Cut Pro editing as they produce LTV and other projects. In my photography class for Juniors, the students learn the basics of photography and composition and how to "develop" their photos digitally in Photoshop. I earned a BFA in Sculpture/New Genres from Otis College of Art and Design and my teaching credential from CSU Long Beach. e-mial: houkg@centinela.k12.ca.us

I teach 10th grade English and the MCA Photojournalism (12th Grade) class in Room 6-5. As the MCA Photojournalism instructor, I am responsible for teaching students the history of the media and journalism, basic journalistic writing skills, basic photography techniques, standard newspaper lay-out and design techniques, and I facilitate the production of the Leuzinger High School Newspaper, “The Torch”. e-mail: holmess@centinela.k12.ca.usMCA Counselor Judy Grood e-mail : groodj@cetninela.k12.ca.us
